Position Overview

 

Requirements:

·         Unix/Linux knowledge to include, but not limited to, kernel, memory, file systems, clustering, command line syntax for file creation and manipulation, log location and search, and daemon management.

·         Networking Fundamentals to include, but not limited to, OSI Layers, Subnetting, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and Ports.

·         Troubleshooting tools to include, but not limited to, Telnet, Traceroute, Wireshark and Ping.

·         Communication. Candidates must possess the ability to convey complex concepts and issues to a variety of audiences with a wide range of technical capabilities.

·         Analysis. Candidates must possess the ability to evaluate multiple, diverse issues simultaneously and prioritize them based on set of pre-established criteria.

·         Multitask. Candidates must be able to troubleshoot, document, escalate, and follow up on multiple issues simultaneously while maintaining established timelines for processes.

·         Autonomous. Candidates absolutely must be self-starters and must be unflagging in their pursuit of issue resolution.

·         Interpersonal Skills. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills to include dealing with difficult people, conflict resolution, and proactive communication.

·         Curiosity. Candidates must have an innate drive to learn. Blizzard is a dynamic company which is constantly changing. Self-initiated, self-directed learning is critical for maintaining an updated and relevant skill set.

·         Flexibility. Candidates must be willing and able to work nonstandard shifts to include overnights and weekends.

 

 

·         Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (i.e. C++, Java, HTML, Visual Basic, Python)
