MSE Researchers Win Best Poster Award at the 2016 KPMI Conference

A research group consisting of students and faculty members with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at POSTECH won the Shinhan Diamond Best Poster Award at the 2016 Spring Conference of the Korean Powder Metallurgy Institute (KPMI) held in Gyeongju.  

Their research is on “Mechanical Behavior of Pure Titanium Aneurysm Clip Consolidated by High-Pressure Torsion.”

The main author, Ms. Seung-mi Baek, along with Mr. Hoyong Um and Mr. Ho Sang Jeong, all graduate students at POSTECH, carried out their research under the guidance of Profs. Hyoung Seop Kim and Sei Kwang Hahn. The MSE team also collaborated with Prof. Jae Chan Park of Kyungpook National University.

The Shinhan Daimond Best Poster Award is sponsored by Shinhan Diamond and given at the annual KPMI Conference to recognize the two best teams/individuals that present outstanding research in the field.
