[POSTECH Highlights Contributions to Global Dialogue on Longevity at APRU Presidents’ Meeting 2025]
President Seong Keun Kim participated in the APRU Annual Presidents’ Meeting 2025, hosted by UC San Diego under the theme “Human Longevity in a Changing World: Innovation, Education, and Leadership for a Resilient Future.” The gathering reaffirmed the unity of the APRU network in tackling shared challenges facing higher education and internationalization.
🔬 Academic Leadership
Professor Sung-Min Park served as a panelist in “University Innovation for Longevity: Biotechnology and Public Health.” Drawing from POSTECH’s cutting-edge research and Korea’s vibrant biotech ecosystem, he emphasized biotechnology’s pivotal role in tackling public-health challenges and extending healthy lifespans.
Fellow panelists included Vice-Chancellor Dawn Freshwater (University of Auckland), Chancellor Julio Frenk (UCLA), President Chi-Hung Lin (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University), and Vice-Chancellor & President Dennis Lo (The Chinese University of Hong Kong).
