President Doh-Yeon Kim Speaks on Higher Education at Advance Pohang Forum
In honor of the inauguration of POSTECH’s seventh president Doh-Yeon Kim, whose presidential term began on September 1, 2015, the Advance Pohang (AP) Forum invited him to be the speaker for its monthly breakfast seminar held on Tuesday, September 8. Held in the Grand Ballroom of POSCO International Center, President Kim spoke on the topic of “the future of higher education.”
President Kim stressed on the importance of partnership between POSTECH and Pohang and appealed for local leaders’ support and initiatives for the mutual growth.
The AP Forum is a consultative group of 170 members consisting of local Pohang leaders. It was created by POSTECH in June 2012 to assist in the future development of Pohang. The Pohang Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Pohang Steel Industry complex participate in the AP Forum.
