The National Center for Nanomaterials Technology Changes Its Name
The National Center for Nanomaterials Technology (NCNT), located at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), has changed its name to the National Institute for Nanomaterials Technology (NINT).
NINT, which was founded in 2004, is equipped with nanotechnology research equipment as a core infrastructure in the field of nanomaterials. NINT was originally named for the construction enterprise that was supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. It was decided to change the name to NINT at the conclusion of the first stage of the commercialization project.
“This is an opportunity to turn over a new leaf as a leading institute for nanotechnology,” said Professor Chan Gyung Park, the director of NINT.
