Prohibition of Unauthorized Collection of E-mail Address
Rejection of E-mail Collection without Consent
- POSTECH does not permit the unauthorized collection of email addresses posted on our website by anyone through e-mail collection programs or other technical devices without proper approval. Those who violate this provision will be subject to criminal punishment under the Korean Act on Information Communications Network.

Article 50-2 (Prohibition on Unauthorized Collection of E-mail Addresses, etc)
- Nobody shall collect e-mail addresses registered on websites where the refusal of e-mail address collection is clearly stated through automatic e-mail address extracting programs or other technological devices.
- Nobody shall sell or circulate the e-mail addresses collected in violation of Clause 1.
- Nobody shall use e-mail addresses while knowing such e-mail addresses are prohibited from collecting, selling and circulating pursuant to Clauses 1 and 2.
Article 65-2 (Penal Provision) Any of the following persons shall be punished by a fine not exceeding 10 million won:
- A person who takes technical measures, in violation of Article 50(4).
- A person who transmits any advertising information for profit, in violation of Article 50(6).
- Anyone who uses e-mail address to collect, sell, or circulate, or to use for information transmission, in violation of Article 50(2).
