1. 내 연구를 소개합니다(aka. 내연소)가 무엇인가요?

  - 3분 동안 PPT없이 자신의 연구를 소개하는 대회 입니다. 

  - 손으로 들 수 있는 소품을 활용할 수 있습니다. 

  - 전공이 다양한 청중에게, 메세지를 얼마나 잘 전달하는지가 채점의 핵심입니다!

  - 대학원생, 학부생, 연구원, 교수 등 모든 포스테키안이 참가신청 가능합니다.

2.  어떤 식으로 평가하나요?

■ 예선심사

  - 스크립트 또는 동영상을 Blind로 심사하여 상대평가로 진행 / 내부 심사기준을 통해 최종 6명 내외의 본선 참가자를 선발 

  - 예선 심사위원: 학생/교수/교직원 등 공정성과 다양성을 고려해 구성

■ 본선심사

  - 과학계/비과학계로 이루어진 심사위원 3인이 3분 발표를 평가하며, 발표 후 심사위원과 4분 가량의 질의 응답을 갖습니다.

  - 본선 심사위원:

    1) 정일영(인하대학교 프랑스언어문화학과 교수)

    2) 정진호(POSTECH 인문사회학부 교수)

    3) 전준구(POSTECH 첨단원자력공학부 교수)

  - 심사위원은 다음의 가이드 라인을 따라 심사합니다.

    1) 비전공자와 일반대중이 이해하기 쉽도록 전달하는가?

    2) 정확한 사실을 전달하는가?

    3) 청중이 발표에 집중할 수 있도록 흥미로운 스토리텔링을 하고 있는가?

    4) 소품, 발표기법 등을 통해 자신의 발표 내용을 효과적으로 전달하는 노력이 보이는가?

    5) 시간(3분)을 잘 지키는가?

3.  대회 일정은 어떻게 되나요? 접수는 어떻게 하나요?

■ 1. 접수 신청 : 11.16(일) 자정(일->월 넘어가는 밤 12시)까지 신청

* 상단의 신청 버튼 클릭하여 신청폼 작성 (스크립트와 함께 접수 필수! 영상첨부는 선택사항!) 

* 접수 마감 이후 예선 심사를 거쳐 본선 진출자를 발표할 예정입니다. 

* 신청폼과 스크립트 접수를 먼저 하신 분께 본선 "발표 순서"를 정할 수 있는 우선권을 드립니다. 

■ 2. 예선심사 및 통보 : 11월 셋째주 중

■ 3. 본선(본행사) : 11월 27일(목) 오후 4시 ~ 오후 6시 / 체인지업그라운드 이벤트홀

* 4시 "프랑스언어문화학과 정일영 교수님"의 기조강연 이후 본선 발표 시작 예정입니다 

4. 발표를 준비하기 너무 어려워요...

■ 내연소는 FameLab의 포맷을 많이 가지고 있습니다. 

■ 페입랩페이지의 영상들이 도움이 될 수 있어요...!

■ 그동안 내연소 본선에 진출한 분들도 '내가 과연 잘할 수 있을까?'라는 걱정을 하곤 했었답니다. 

■ 숨겨진 자신의 능력을 믿고 도전해보세요!

5.  내연소 대회 참가 시, 상품이 있나요!? (대회 참가자 / 청중)

■ 1등 250만원, 2등 100만원, 청중인기상 50만원의 상금을 드립니다!!!!

■ 본선(6명 내외)에만 진출하셔도 상금 30만원을 드립니다!!!!

■ 청중에게도 추첨을 통해 푸짐한 상품을 지급하며, 추후 공지하겠습니다!!!!

(작년 상품 : 발뮤다 토스터기, 삼성공기청정기, 갤럭시워치, 애플워치, 로봇청소기 등)

6.  학부생 대상 포스테키안 마일리지(PAM)는 몇 점을 받을 수 있나요? (대회참가자 / 청중)

■ 참가신청(스크립트 제출)시 100PAM, 수상할 시 50PAM이 추가 부여됩니다. 

■ 행사 당일 참석시(청중으로서) 20PAM을 부여합니다. (설문조사 참가 필요)

📢Join the 11th “Let Me Introduce My Research” competition! Applications open until November 16! (English speakers are also welcome!)

1.  What is “Introducing My Research”?

  - It’s a 3-minute competition where participants introduce their research without using any slides (no PPTs!).

  - You may use handheld props to help explain your topic.

  - The key evaluation point is how effectively you communicate your message to an audience from diverse academic backgrounds.

  - Graduate students, undergraduate students, researchers, professors, all POSTECHians can participate

2.  How will it be evaluated?

■ Preliminary Screening

  - Submissions are reviewed blindly based on scripts or videos and evaluated comparatively.

  - About 6 finalists will be selected for the final round according to internal evaluation criteria.

  - Judges for the preliminary round include students, faculty, and staff, ensuring fairness and diversity.

■ Final Round

  - Three judges — from both scientific and non-scientific fields — will evaluate 3-minute presentations, followed by a 4-minute Q&A session.

  - Judges will evaluate following the guideline:

    1) Is it understandable for layman?

    2) Is the content accurate?

    3) Is the storytelling interesting enough to hold the concentration of the audience?

    4) Does the participant use props or presenting methods to deliver the content more effectively?

    5) Does the participant keep the time? (3-minute limit)

3.  When is the competition? How do I apply? 

■ Application Deadline

  - By midnight, Sunday, November 16 (the night between Sunday and Monday).

  - Click the “Apply Now” link above and complete the application form.

  - Script submission is required (video submission optional).

  - After the deadline, preliminary screening will take place, and finalists will be announced.

  - Early applicants who submit both the form and script first will have priority in choosing their presentation order for the final round.

■ Preliminary Screening & Notification:

- During the third week of November

■ Final Competition:

  - Thursday, November 27, 4:00–6:00 PM

  - Venue: Change-Up Ground, Event Hall

    * The competition will be conducted in both Korean (Main MC) and English (Assistant MC).

Please understand that most parts of the event will be in Korean.

4.  Preparing feels too hard… Can I have any tip for preparing my talk?

  -Don’t worry! “Introduce My Research” follows a similar format to the FameLab competition

  -Watching previous ‘FameLab’ videos can be very helpful.

  - Even past finalists once doubted themselves – “Can I really do this?” – but they all discovered new potential through this challenge. ✨ Believe in your hidden talent and give it a try!

  - There were English participants in last competitions : 2022 Larissa Miasiro / 2019 John Park(1st award)

5.  Are there any prizes? (for participants and audience)

  - 1st Prize: 2.5 million KRW / 2nd Prize: 1.0 million KRW

  - Audience Choice Award: 0.5 million KRW

  - All finalists (approx. 6 participants) receive 300,000 KRW!

  - Exciting prizes will also be given to audience members through a raffle!

(Last year’s prizes included: Balmuda toaster, Samsung air purifier, Galaxy Watch, Apple Watch, 

robot vacuum, and more!) 

6.  For Undergraduate Participants: POSTECHian Mileage (PAM)

  - 100 PAM for submitting your application(include script) / and additional +50 PAM if you win a prize

  - 20 PAM for attending the final event as an audience member (survey participation required)
